i am at the radio show right now. hanging out with mr. chuck wren and listening to ska. yea!! my usual sunday evening tradition. a tradition that will soon change due to the fact that i am moving to NY in less than four months. That is right my faithful followers, i am moving to the big old smelly city of New York. i am gotten excepted in to the MFA in Design program at the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan. i will spend the next two years of my life obsorbing, eating and breathing graphic design. the program at SVA is one of the top graphic design programs in the nation. i will learn from the top designers in my field and be come the designer i have always wanted to be. it will be good, but also really scary and expensive. i will probably end up paying between $60k-$80k for what i am about to do. (that is tution, room, board, living expenses, etc.) i am some what excited, but more scared then anything else. i am finally happy here in chicago and feel good here. i just had a super job interview at Second City to become their art director. that would be a great oppertunity for me, but i think graduate school will open so many more doors and it will get me to move outside of my comfort zone. i don't think i can say no. i have to go. damn! i will miss it here, but i can always come back.
